Lubbock Human Trafficking Sting Yields 6 Arrests: Operation Targets Prostitution and Solicitation

On July 26, 2024, a human trafficking sting operation in downtown Lubbock led to the arrest of six individuals. The operation, conducted by the Lubbock Police Department with assistance from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Texas Department of Public Safety, resulted in one arrest for solicitation of prostitution, which is a state-jail felony, and five arrests for prostitution, which is a misdemeanor. One suspect also faced additional charges of assault and resisting arrest.
