Texas Man Arrested in Miami-Dade for Trafficking 18-Year-Old in Prostitution Ring

Javien Papillon, 31, was arrested in Miami-Dade after being accused of bringing an 18-year-old girl from Texas to South Florida to work as a prostitute. The arrest followed an investigation by the Human Trafficking Squad after the girl, who had been reported missing in Texas, was spotted in a known prostitution area. Papillon faces charges of human trafficking involving a victim under 18 and deriving support from prostitution proceeds. He is currently held without bond.
