Phoenix Sting Operation Nabs Over 300 in Major Prostitution and Human Trafficking Crackdown

Phoenix police conducted a multi-agency sting operation from January 30 to February 11, leading to over 300 arrests related to prostitution and human trafficking. The operation, timed with major events in the Valley, aimed at targeting adults soliciting sex, online predators, and street prostitution. The sting resulted in 48 felony arrests and about 300 misdemeanor arrests. Additionally, five juveniles and one adult victim were recovered, and seven firearms were seized. The operation has faced criticism for focusing on consensual activities and its effectiveness in addressing human trafficking.
