Four Men Arrested in Japan for Brokering International Prostitution Ring

Tokyo police have arrested four men, including Ryosuke Imamura, on suspicion of brokering prostitution abroad through a website. The men allegedly sent between 200 and 300 Japanese women to brothels in the United States, Canada, and Australia, generating roughly ¥200 million over three years. This is the first arrest in Japan involving providing recruitment information on harmful work. The case came to light after U.S. authorities provided information about Japanese women traveling for prostitution and the website used for recruitment.
