Two Arrested at Plainville Massage Parlor in Prostitution Sting; Spa Shut Down

On March 26, 2024, Plainville police arrested Shuqin Zhu and Hongmei Cheng at Earth Massage Spa on East Street following an investigation into alleged sexual activities at the spa. Zhu, 53, and Cheng, 51, both from Flushing, N.Y., face charges related to promoting prostitution and prostitution itself. Zhu is charged with second-degree promoting prostitution and two counts of prostitution, while Cheng faces third-degree promoting prostitution and two counts of prostitution. The state Department of Labor also issued a stop work order, shutting down the business due to violations.
